Purdue’s Co Rec isn’t just a gym—it’s a cornerstone of campus life, a hub for self-improvement, and a place where students push their limits every day. With endless opportunities for fitness, wellness, and personal growth, it deserves a brand as strong and dynamic as the community it serves. This initiative focuses on creating a bold yet simple identity that captures the energy, inclusivity, and ambition of the Co Rec, giving Purdue students a visual representation of everything it has to offer.

Brand Overview


Not only is the Co Rec an important piece of the community, but offers an escape from the stressful life of many people ranging from the Purdue students to community members. Therefore, the Co Rec deserves its own branding which remains separate yet unified with Purdue. Every aspect of the overall style was chosen carefully to reflect my overall view and understanding of the Co Rec because the Co Rec is more than just a gym. I chose to utilize a playful style with the rounded logo and bulky lettering. The black and gold was chosen to tie the Co Rec back in with Purdue.

The Check-In App


Similar to the style of the logo and text, the app is meant to be a stress-free use to allow users to check in and schedule classes or gym time. This could allow for less confusion. By giving members the option to check in through the app, this could eliminate wait time and frustration.
